How do I say this with out sounding like Richard Simmons?

I love my Trav,
Today I was cleaning up my part of the hard drives, and came across so many pictures of us together, I was over joyed. Thus, how do I say this with out sounding some what like Richard Simmons... Overly enthused, with a touch of lisp... *lol*

Travis is one of the most wonderful people I have been lucky enough to hold on to in this life. He's embraced my crazy, and added a touch of his own. Why is this good? Sometimes it helps to not be the only 'crazy' one. Admitting it is the first step... You know this!
I have learned being married is like everything else, Its never gonna be perfect, but either are the two of you, work with what it is, and it will reward you.
In strange ways no less.
But I am thankful, thankful to Marg and Harv for sharing such love that even with all the odds against them Travis was meant to be....... *lol* Thankful that sometimes I am such a dumbass, but knew enough to know Depeche Mode.

Mainly thankful that my husband loves me enough that I have never had to remind him of "in sickness and in health" Its never easy, but it can be made a lot less hard when you dont have to do it alone.

Thank You Husband, my Husband. I love you. And no amount of words will ever be able to sum up just how much.

Heaven does exsist on earth, close your ears and open your eyes

There are few words to describe such perfection. People live on this island untouched by the out side world. Unaware of most annoyances that plague our "global" world.
This is a vacation. The people that we met in Lombok were real people, I didn't understand what that meant, until I saw it. One day you will. Maybe you already have. If you are lucky, you live it.

No Regrets

I've been tossing the idea around in my head of getting a tatoo.
But there are major pros and cons to the do's and don'ts of being inked.

Silly fear really, Trav has three tattoos and no regrets.
This made me narrow down what I don't want.

I think I want to get a panda sitting at the bottom of a cherry tree, blossoms opening, but not all full. detailed? perhaps... more chair time, for certain....

As far as the pics in the link above... I dont know what to say. Why would you ink Bob Barker on your arm? He is an Icon yes... but "come on down"? Really!! thats what you want ever lasting on your arm... christ on a crutch! And then there is the Tat of Maddox Jolie Pitt...... Hes a cute kid, but that is fucking creepy. Who would actually ink that?

No News is never good news

The time is now

This is just another example of how helpless this world makes me feel sometimes.

What can I do about this? I dont own a car, I dont burn coal, I have enough plants in our home to counter act the CO2 I think we create. We use energy efficent lighting. Our hydro bills are $50/3months of use. I recycle what I can, and would compost, if it didnt mean having to do it in my home. I use public transit to the best of my ability, and I own a bike. What more can I do?
This is only one of the thousands of issuses I stumble across daily being on the internet. When being global becomes a problem. I now have too much information.
Last week I stumbled upon a facebook group that brought me to tears. They had a video showing people in China beating animals to a state of shock before skinning them alive. Their argument is that the animals (in this case weasels) have small enough brains that they dont realize what is happening, and if they are still alive, it is easier to get the fur off, making for nicer looking coats.
This made me throw up in my mouth a little, and not in the Ben Stiller tight silver spandex way either.

Its time to go back to work, so maybe some day I can be in a place where I can make a difference on a global level. We are all responsible, and in my opinion the time is Now!

Cleanliness is next to Godliness

When you have as many plants as we have acquired over the years, you start to run out of room.
Since I have been home, I have had to last couple months to slowly move things around to a more live able stand point.

These are some fave things in my living room

Dre Gone Wild

Im finally getting a chance to put up my Wild life videos. I hope you enjoy. These are a few movies of Monkeys, Dolphins, and Seals.

Aquatic Adventure

There is a brand new baby beluga at the Vancouver Aquarium. 15 days old today, it is a female I believe ( I was too in awe to pay attention) and was soooooooooooo cute!
We were taken below the aquarium into the under water view area where everyone had to be extremely quite so that the sound would not travel through the glass and effect the babies environment, as well all flash on cameras has to be turned off, as well as cell phones.
So, the only thing I didn't take pictures of was the baby beluga, cause I don't know how the turn off my flash, and I couldn't ask anyone cause we had to be super quiet... LOL.
Today I'm reading my manual so next time this won't be an issue.
All the same, the baby was so incredible to see so close up. Beautiful, I am happy I got to see it, as I dont think Ill be swimming in the artic any time soon.
I am thankful for Zoo's, Aquariums and wildlife preserves for these purposes only. I wouldnt be able to learn and see the two together at the same time any other way. It maybe selfish, but I try to be as respectful as possible while visiting.
Other highlights? The Otters,(I want ten atleast), the Seals ( I have video) the Dolphins, some frogs that were perfectly posed, as well as some Jelly fish, a cute fish with funny teeth... Rene Zelweger fish *teehee*,
and last but NOT least, my friends the Sloth's. Oh wow, I *heart* the sloths, I was brought right back to my child hood, and all the wonderful memories of being with my parents and just having a really good time.
All in all this was a weekend I won't soon forget.

Botanical Boooya!

I would love to take credit for these photos, sadly though the only part of my involvement was the lending of the lens. Ernst is a master at capturing the best part of the plant. These pictures to me are incredible and I am thankful that I have them. So thank you Ernst! You caputured the experience just as I remembered it.

So much for my good intentions

There were so many things that I had planned for this little space of the cyber world.
Witty little comments on life as its happening.
Or something

Well, at least I got some of our pictures up. I promise there will be pictures and video of the monkeys. Its just that I find the method by which the pictures are uploaded to this blog, really makes me angry. It takes a lot of self talk to fight with my blog editor and get pics in the places I want.

Which in the end takes away what I had wanted to find in my blog, some peace.

So in the mean time, I have found this clip that I could not help but add.

Snoop Dogg has now made a country Album. I'm sure I'm the last to know, but I saw this and had to add it. I dont have any comments as of yet. Be sure to leave yours.
* This you tube video no longer works because viacom bought the rights and made you tube disable the codes....... So.... sorry....

Stood up running

Most people celebrate days when they wake up and feel good, I don't just celebrate today, no I rejoice, I embrace, and I enjoy.
Why is today so special?
Yesterday I came home and I took my boot off, and I put the brace, the pump and the boot altogether and in the closet. I put it away, and have committed my self to only going forward.
Today I walked across the street in TWO sandals(and my bandage.....). Not one and a boot, or bare foot with a tensor bandage. No for the first time in three months I have both pairs of sandals on, and it went ok.
More than ok.
I also have come across some fantastic music in the last few days, and cant help but sometimes break into dance, because, I can! As long as I'm standing in place...
Summer is here, and I am ready to embrace it.

Breaking News Update

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080611/ap_on_fe_st/italy_unicorn

not the quality of Jim Henson, but another "it just goes to show you" on what some times nature has intended. I think Im gonna go watch Dark Crystal now

Just another drive by

really enjoyable beer
A gondola made of Lego!
I did mention it's really goooood beer right?? hah! Trav out and about fending for him self in a city of 4 million. Did pretty good, never got lost, and always came to see me in the hospital with a present and pictures from his adventures.
A big freakin' grasshopper that would have normally been lunch ;) I kid, I kid... or???
This shot is taken in Lombok, and I'm having a hard time getting my head around the fact that there are orchids growing next to the picnic table we are eating at up in the mountains. It was unlike anything I have ever experienced. I cant wait to go back!

This was Rain, like we had never seen rain!

The giant Statue is Singapore's national "animal" they call it the Merlion, I *love* it!
Monkeys! who were nice enough not to throw poo, yet also ate the ricola's that I threw
(the driver told me too!!)

The view from my Dad's office, not too shabby, hard to feel bad for him eh? How much "work" can it be?? (a lot actually, hes just lucky enough to live some where nice)

I told you I loved the Merlion! Trav got a merlion lighter, when you lifted the lions head not only would flames shoot out, but there was a fast techno-asian version of Singapores National anthem being played. It was great!
