Learning how to suit up

This new adventure in life is teaching me some important things, I am learning patience, and compassion for my self. Which I find harder than learning how to be patient. Or a good patient.

I am glad to be where I am, with the people I am surrounded by, but I miss you Trav, and dont think for a second other wise.

Soon I will have pictures to show and stories to tell, now I pass to you my lesson.,....

The way the summer winds carry

Im heading up North where the computer must fight with phone lines to try and dial up. Where my patience is thin, so do not expect me to battle the battle often.
I hope to return soon,
and when I do, there will be a gaggle of photos and plethora to talk about!

Have a good summer,

Opod? Oh Snap!

When we were in the fair city of Sing, we managed to score ourselves a wicked set of Ipod knock off's, which we fondly refer to as the Opod's (thank you Sam).

Such bliss this little machine is, I can watch video, listen to all of my fave songs, and even have some room for pics. There are games, my favorite of all, Tertris!

BUT

We can not access the file on our computer. They are a simple plug and play technology. Hook em up to the usb and BAM! click the media you want, drag it to the file, BAM music at your finger tips, BAM photos, right now!

Unless you are trying to do this on our computer. It works on my Dad's PC in Sing, it works on Sam's computer in Van, Trav's parents computer and Laptop.....

But everytime I plug it in to charge it up... nothing! The battery charges, and thats it. The USB doesnt register that it exists......

Any Ideas??? Im looking for some help!

So cute I go "blargh"

playing mouse before dinner
first night home after a long time away (3 months)
a very happy kitty sleeping with her monkey.....

I dont have children, I have kats. And I don't feel taking pictures of them when they are behaving so sickenly cute is a crime. Is it? Perhaps if I was single, Im not... I'm married, and we love our kats very much. They are a mainstay in our house hold. No matter how hard I try to dispose of the one, it always comes back. There is a song in there some where.

So who are these furry little beasts? Besides the softest scarf and mittens duo, Your looking at Malika ( a lovely Mocha color) and Jakarta (deep Black). They are mother and daughter, and keep us well entertained for the space we all share. note: Travis' cat lying on my greenhouse full of orchids...

I know there was a surface free some where in here.....

For the last three years, it seems I have been on the hunt for the perfect plant... or the last plant.... and Ive always wonder which plant would be the last.
Several Orchids have taken that title...
"I promise Trav, this will be the last one".
There was a palm tree in the spring that I swo
re up and down would be the last plant I would bring home... it was four feet tall with ten or more fronds, and plenty more to come out.......

Since working at the flower shop, I have seen
many a plant come and go.
To have all of these wonderful beauties flo
at by my eyes has been a gift and curse all at the same time.
I now collect plant books, plant medium, plant fertilizer, plant water meters, I could go on.
I have special watering containers even....
And for those unaware, I live in a one bedroom apartment.

Why the addiction? Why the craziness? Because I can't collect Panda's. It's China's fault. I only wanted one!

Alright, maybe I can't blame this nutti
ness on China. But I did start my plant collection with pieces of "bamboo" which are really dracena's. Panda doesn't eat the commercially sold, attractively perfect lucky bamboo that is so popular these days. And really easy to grow.

But this new plant has taken the cake. I think it is a dracena of some sort. I have no idea how old it is, and I don't know where it came from originally, I just happened to be in the right place at the time and it has now come into my possession
what do you think?? !!! HA!

One of a few of my favorite things

spider panda... spider panda.....
Does whatever a spider panda does......

If you know me at all, You know I have a love, obsession, craziness, for Panda's.
Perhaps I was one in another life, perhaps I was an Asian Jane Goodall with an affection for Panda's not Apes....

Whatever genetic coding I recieved, firmly ingrained was this love.
I would buy one million if only China would sh
are. I would have a panda farm with lots of bamboo.
Some people fantasize about riches, fame, and glory. Secretly when I blow my candles out, I wish for a pocket size panda. Named Chi Chou. Love? Insanity!

Today is a joyful day though, a Panda, who was once thought to be a male, has given birth to twins.. naturally!
There is hope for my furry little friends yet.

One Day I will see one in the wild, I will go to Wolong and I will roam with the beasts... untill then, I have these pictures and video clips to tide me over. One of these videos is a news blip from China informing the world of the birth, and the other two are just gratutitious videos of panda's... In the third one a panda decides he wants a jacket to play with,... and gets one! *lol* this made me laugh, alot.
