Moving

It has been 6 years since the last time we moved. And 6 years ago it wasnt a choice it was a need, we needed to get out of the city, we needed to make some changes, and we needed a whole new life. Misson complete. I was a chef, I am now fully emersed in the floral world. Travis was in retail, he is now need deep in earth. Life has many surprises, and nothing was more surprising than us now moving on the next frontieer, moving in to a house. The word "Children" has now become part our vocabulary, as has gardening, mowing the lawns, cleaning the windows, planting the tomatoes, weeding the raspberries and cleaning out the garage. Im 30 this year, and I guess this is what growing up and getting older equates too, but more than everything it seems logical and it just feels right. For the first time in my life moving is the best thing that could happen, and is making my life a brand new wonderful place full of future and hope. I was scared for 30, its such a commitment, but so is sharing your life with some one, and thats been amazing thus far. So for those who may end up 30 one day, fear not, its the best of time, it the most exciting of times, embrace this! Enjoy this! Run with this. To be clear, its what I say to my self to make sure I believe it!

Thursdays Coffee

"Blacker than an Ethiopians backside" Coffee is the best thing in the world I have decided! So dark and flavorfull creamy and sweet, wakes me up. Its truly become the best part of my day, I now understand the life force behind my Grandfathers exsistance. It wasnt his wife, certainlly not us kids, it was the sweet warm black bean juice. Thank you to whomever decided grinding and boiling down funny little beans would be a staple, a real day to day delight.

Deadly weapons on wheels

The last time I was on the ferry, it all became clear. I couldnt ignore it anymore, and now I have another item on my ever growing list of pet peeves....

Rolling suitcases in walk on ferry traffic. It doenst make sense and if you are guilty of this, I HATE YOU, know this!
There is not a enough room when people are stampeeding up the ramp to the godforsaken boat for anyone to have a rolling anything behind them. The walk isnt long enough that you cant suck it up and carry so that you arent running over the feet on unsuspecting walkers by. Its just plain rude.

Sinuses are more than in the nose

Two weeks yesterday, and my teeth still hurt. Life has a way of letting you know whos in charge, a and I have come to see that as long as you never forget that, life will go on.

Sam the Border Collie passed away on tuesday, leaving a large whole in our lives.
Her unexpected passing is leaving me unerved and has re-enforced to me the importance of every day, and the people you share those days with.

There are people I am not seeing enough of, and I hope to change this in the coming weeks. I dont want to miss the moments before there just is no opportunity left.

On a side note, its turns out making a sarcastic joke to your boss reguarding taxidermy and pets ends ups being creepy, not funny....
who knew?

All Grown up...Now where to go?

Life has those incredible extremes doesnt it? Never just a simple road, traveled by many, explored by tons....

That would not satisfy the simple basic fundamental need that I think we have inherently had grained into us from generations past.

There have always been great Wars to worry about, be involved in, feel the direct loss of.
We have this strange war going on for the power of fossil fuel, which makes sense for the structure of society that we now live in, but it doesnt directly hit home for me. My husband is not in the middle east, nor any of his family members, or any of our friends, or any one that I know....
There is something to be said about that., It doesnt mean that these things dont exist, however I am saying, these things arent effecting my life right now, so ... without that challenge that is I believe a natural feeling in human nature, we seek the challenges of day to day elsewhere.....

Last year I bared the brunt of a fair share of challenges, there is only one other person I know who could sympathize with the frustration of crutches and want to be able to just quench a thirst with a glass of water..

Patience became my mantra, and slowly I began to again move some toes.

I was with out my better half for 4 months, home back in pg....

It was wonderful to see family and friends, people I have missed so dearly over the last couple years, but two weeks and you get your fill of living at home with out a car, or your own phone.. etc...

Where is this all going you wonder????

With mostly grace and some what dignity, I faced those challenging challenges, took the lessons learned, and now this year,.. I AM HAVING THE BEST YEAR TO DATE!

Things are just going so well with work, life, everything. And Im not bragging, or dragging this out. Im just taking my earned moment, to appreciate the good in place of the bad. Respect the bad and learn from mistakes, so that the good may last and help me in accomplishing some life goals.

2009, what a pleasant surprise.
